How Much Caffeine Is in Olivaro? Guarana, Green Tea and the Label Math
Olivaro lists two caffeine sources, guarana seed extract and green tea leaf extract, but prints no caffeine amount. Label order sets a ceiling: the two extracts together can weigh at most about 67 mg per mL, or about 133 mg per day at 2 droppers. That is extract weight, not pure caffeine, and it sits well below FDA's 400 mg per day reference (FDA, Caffeine: how much is too much?).

Short answer
Does Olivaro contain caffeine?
Yes, almost certainly some. Two blend ingredients are caffeine sources, but no caffeine figure is printed.
Guarana seeds contain caffeine, and most of guarana's effects come from that caffeine (MSKCC, Guarana). Green tea contains caffeine too (NCCIH, Green Tea). On the Olivaro panel, guarana seed extract sits third and green tea leaf extract sits seventh.
Guarana products often do not declare their caffeine (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss). Olivaro follows that pattern: one total, 200 mg of blend per mL, and no single amounts.
So you will get some caffeine, and nobody outside the company can say how much. What you can do is work out the most it could be from the label itself. The full panel is on our label breakdown.

Label math
How much guarana and green tea can 1 mL hold?
At most about 67 mg per mL for guarana alone, and the same 67 mg for both extracts combined. Blends must list ingredients from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)).
Guarana is third, so maca and grape seed each weigh at least as much. If all three were equal, each would be about 67 mg. Green tea is seventh. Six ingredients weigh at least as much as it, so its cap is 200 mg divided by 7, about 29 mg.
| Ingredient | Label position | Ceiling per mL | Ceiling per day, 1 dropper | Ceiling per day, 2 droppers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guarana seed extract | 3 of 22 | About 67 mg | About 67 mg | About 133 mg |
| Green tea leaf extract | 7 of 22 | About 29 mg | About 29 mg | About 57 mg |
| Both together | 3 and 7 | About 67 mg | About 67 mg | About 133 mg |
| Caffeine actually printed | None | Not published | Not published | Not published |
Why not 67 plus 29? The two cannot both hit their highest values at once. More guarana leaves less room for the ingredients below it, so the pair tops out near 67 mg per mL. And these are extract weights. The caffeine inside is a smaller, unknown share.
The reference
What does FDA say about 400 mg of caffeine a day?
FDA has cited 400 mg a day as an amount not generally linked to negative effects in most healthy adults. That is about two to three 12-ounce cups of coffee (FDA, Caffeine: how much is too much?).
The same FDA guidance lists what too much caffeine can do:
- A fast heart rate or a pounding, fluttering heartbeat
- Trouble falling or staying asleep
- Feeling anxious, restless or jittery
People differ, so 400 mg is a general reference, not a personal limit.
Olivaro's whole blend tops out at 400 mg per day, at 2 droppers. To reach FDA's number, all 22 ingredients would have to be pure caffeine. So the drops alone cannot come near it. The open question is what they add to your coffee.
Your day
Can the drops add to your coffee total?
Yes, a little, and the amount is a guess. The worst case uses the extract ceiling. The real caffeine figure will be lower than that.
| Daily dose | Guarana plus green tea extract, ceiling | Share of 400 mg if it were all caffeine | What that means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 dropper (1 mL) | About 67 mg | About 17% | Leaves most of the reference for coffee or tea |
| 2 droppers (2 mL) | About 133 mg | About 33% | Worth counting if you drink several cups |
| More than 2 droppers | Not allowed | Not applicable | The label says: do not exceed recommended dose |
The table shows the outer edge of what the drops could add to coffee, tea or soda. Two steps help. Start with 1 dropper, the lower label amount. Keep your usual coffee steady for two weeks, so any change in sleep is easier to trace. Our dosage guide covers the 1 vs 2 dropper choice.

Will the caffeine in the drops keep you up?
It might, if you are sensitive or take the dropper late. Insomnia is a common guarana side effect (MSKCC, Guarana), and FDA lists sleep trouble among the signs of too much caffeine (FDA, Caffeine: how much is too much?).
The label gives no time of day, so timing is up to you. A morning dropper is the simpler choice. A second dropper, if you use one, fits better with lunch than a late dinner.
Each night, note the dropper time, your cups of coffee or tea, and how long it took to fall asleep. After 14 days, compare 1-dropper days with 2-dropper days.
A shaky, wired feeling may be caffeine, or something else. Shakiness, sweating and a fast heartbeat are also signs of low blood sugar, generally below 70 mg/dL (NIDDK, Low Blood Glucose). If you use insulin or a sulfonylurea and feel shaky, check your meter before you blame the caffeine.
Who should be careful
Who should be careful with guarana and green tea?
Four groups should ask a doctor or pharmacist first.
Pregnant or nursing
FDA says people who are pregnant or breastfeeding should ask a provider about caffeine (FDA, Caffeine: how much is too much?). The Olivaro label also asks pregnant or nursing mothers to consult a physician.
Caffeine-sensitive or anxious
If one cup of coffee makes your heart race, start low or skip it.
On stimulants or warfarin
Guarana may not be safe with other stimulants, and it may raise bleeding risk with blood thinners such as warfarin (MSKCC, Guarana). High doses can affect heart rhythm and blood pressure.
On nadolol
At high doses, green tea lowers blood levels of nadolol, a beta-blocker (NCCIH, Green Tea). Olivaro's dose is small, but ask your pharmacist anyway.
Anyone taking diabetes medicine has a separate reason to check in. Other blend ingredients, such as chromium and ginseng, may add to glucose-lowering drugs. Talk to your doctor before you change any diabetes medicine. See who should skip it and our guarana and green tea page.
Bottom line
Should the caffeine stop you from trying Olivaro?
For most healthy adults, no. The math caps the stimulant extracts at a fraction of FDA's 400 mg reference, even at 2 droppers.
Reassuring
- The whole blend is only 200 mg per mL.
- Both caffeine sources are named on the label.
- One dropper a day is a valid label dose.
Worth watching
- No caffeine amount is printed.
- Effects stack with coffee, tea and soda.
- Late doses may cost you sleep.
Everyone else can start with 1 dropper in the morning and watch their sleep for two weeks. We sell Olivaro and earn money on orders, so we want you to start with clear expectations. Every flag is on our safety page.
FAQ
Caffeine in Olivaro: questions
How much caffeine is in Olivaro drops?
The label does not say. Guarana and green tea both supply caffeine, but only the 200 mg blend total per mL is printed. By label order, those two extracts together weigh at most about 67 mg per mL, and the caffeine inside them is some smaller, unknown part.
Can I drink coffee while taking Olivaro?
Most healthy adults can, but count the drops as a small extra caffeine source. FDA cites 400 mg a day as generally safe for most healthy adults. Keep your coffee steady for two weeks after starting.
Can Olivaro make you jittery or anxious?
It could in caffeine-sensitive people, since FDA lists jitters and anxiety among signs of too much caffeine. If you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea, shakiness can mean low blood sugar instead. Check your meter first, and treat a reading below 70 mg/dL as your doctor advised.
When is the best time to take Olivaro to protect sleep?
Earlier in the day is the safer choice. The label gives no time, only 1 or 2 droppers daily. Guarana can cause insomnia, so a morning dropper, with a second at lunch if you use one, keeps the caffeine further from bedtime.
Is the caffeine in Olivaro safe during pregnancy?
Ask your doctor before using it. FDA advises people who are pregnant or breastfeeding to check with a provider about caffeine, and the Olivaro label itself tells pregnant or nursing mothers to consult a physician. The caffeine amount is not printed, which makes that conversation more important.
Does Olivaro interact with warfarin?
It may. Memorial Sloan Kettering notes that guarana may raise bleeding risk with blood thinners such as warfarin, though how much this matters is not settled. Show the bottle to your pharmacist before you start.
